The first Saulmon in our family we can find in American is Elijah Saulmon. We found him in Halifax, Virginia in the 1780s.

It appears he moved our branch of Saulmons to Gibson County, Indiana. This branch would grow and add branches of McDonalds, Van Wagners, Meadows, Newsons, Mortrays and others.
